Over the past few days, Samuel has been wanting a few a his once favorite stuffed animals to sleep in the hall for the night instead of his room. In the daytime, he will let them come back, but for some reason he doesn't want them with him while he sleeps. Maybe it scares him when he wakes up and sees them looking back at him, or maybe he had scary dreams about them, I'm not sure. This happened a few months ago with his rocking horse, each night we would move it to its new sleeping quarters in another part of the house, until I got tired of lugging it around each night, and I decided that it could just permanently stay in our living room. Well tonight, after I tucked him in and the lights were out, Samuel told me that he didn't want his duck in his room. I didn't think that he had a stuffed duck, but he insisted that he did until I turned on the lights to find it. Sure enough, he was right, so I removed the duck from the premises, but wait, Samuel then decided that he did not want ANY of his stuffed animals to sleep in his room. Over 2 1/2 years, we have done a pretty good job of accumulating animals in all shapes and sizes, so for the time being, they are taking residence in our hall.
